In his first exhibition with the gallery, Jack Kennedy presents a multi-room installation spanning sculpture, video and collage. The work establishes an imagined space drawing inspiration from the mythologisation of celebrity death, as well as the industries surrounding it. From deathbed tours, to E True Hollywood Stories, Kennedy examines our relationship to mortality within the public eye and to what extent our media culture takes ownership of it. The exhibition is accompanied by a corresponding text from Allan Gardner, seen overleaf.
